I had one of the hectic monday morning. I woke up pretty late to get ready for an interview at 10am. By that, I mean, to at least READ something about the firm or the area that they are specializing in. But I read none. So happens that it was my very first interview after the pupilage and I had zero knowledge about the firm, except for the fact that they are specializing in Employment Law. Great! Berapa banyak kawan aku ada yang involve in that area? NONE!
It is just a small firm with only 3 partners and 3 legal secretaries, with hundreds of files stacked neatly, where eyes can see. I think I just love the working environment there. Like a small team working together, and stay focus. As I stepped into Ms. Jann's chamber, I've been told that they have a very high expectation on their future lawyer. Attitude wise. Focus. And more focus. Plus high determination to learn. And guess what? I've secured a job and I'm gonna start my new post as a junior lawyer after the CNY. WOHOOOOOO! *lepas sebulan melangut kat rumah baru 'reti' cari kerja. kalau lah dari dulu rajin mencari, kan? pemalas!*
Apparently, as of now, I'm the only Malay lawyer hired by the firm. And in fact, being the only Malay working in the firm. All staffs are chinese including the partners (I'm not racist here, not that it matters to me working in such environment), and hey, I look forward to it! Take note that not many Malays are involve in this area of law. So I've been told. Which is good, I think. :)
Expect the workloads.
Expect the pressures.
And expect to be Ms.Workaholic in the future. (which I doubt!)
Haha.
Anyway, I've also bought a robe for the Long Call. Tunggu hari je.
p/s: Still working on my speech for the Long Call. This is harder than it looks.
lala.
